Ignite Fort Collins #12 Topic Submission & Voting

Submissions and Voting for IFC12 are open!

Ignite Fort Collins #12 will be held Thursday, August 16th, 2012, @6pm at The Lincoln Center’s Magnolia Theater

Tickets go on sale July 28th through the Lincoln Center website: http://www.fcgov.com/lctix/.

- Cast your votes for Ignite talks you want to hear.
- Submit a topic for an Ignite talk you want to give.

If submitting a talk: FIRST, PLEASE *SIGN IN* FOR A USERVOICE ACCOUNT using the “SIGN IN” link above and to the right — SO WE KNOW WHO YOU ARE. Thanks!

If you had five minutes to talk to Fort Collins, what would you say? What if you only had 20 slides and they rotated automatically after 15 seconds? Our goal is to choose talks that are interesting, educational, thought-provoking and engaging. No recruiting or product pitches please. Be sure to include a description. More cleverness = more votes.

The top 6 presentations by popular vote will get in (pending discretion of the Ignite Fort Collins Team). The remaining 8 presentations will be selected by the Ignite Fort Collins Team based on a number of factors, including diversity of topics and speakers.

Voting and submissions will close on July 25, 2012.

I want to do an Ignite talk on...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the “My feedback” filter and select “My open ideas”.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can vote and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can vote on it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

            • Live the Good Life: Be Happier Today

Abraham Lincoln said, "most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be."

Happiness is a choice and you can be as happy as you want to be. Stop waiting to get what you want to be happy- be happy anyway!

Let's explore ideas to celebrate and create ideas to experience more happiness in your day. Not because you have what you want, or because you ignore problems, but simply because there's a little bit of happiness in every day if you know where to look.

I am a clumsy dude - enough that I broke 7 of 9 tumblers in a set across the span of a year. Now, I drink from sippy cups.
