I want to do an Ignite talk on...

When Prudes Talk About Sex

My daughter starts middle school next year. We have to start talking about sex. . .have started, actually. It is mortifying for both of us. I want to do better, but my own sex education was delivered, badly, by nuns and a very prudish mother. This PG (or PG-13, or R. Varying degrees of audience prudishness makes all ratings subjective) is my attempt to learn from every awkward discussion about sex I've ever had with other people to come up with the right way to give this information to my kids. So that they can be less awkward and prudish about sex. And so that they will never embarrass me by giving a presentation like this when they grow up.

Groan. PG "presentation". . .the important word was eaten by the parenthetical. Sorry.
